The Department of Education has issued Circular Letter 0088/2024 seting out the arrangements in relation to the payment of the cost-of-living measure totalling €45 million to support increased school running costs announced as part of the cost-of-living measures in Budget 2025.
This grant will be paid to recognised primary and post-primary schools in the Free Education Scheme which includes voluntary secondary schools, community and comprehensive schools and to ETBs in respect of ETB schools.
This grant totalling €45 million will be issued to schools in November 2024
